šĀ Ingredients:

Ā½ cupĀ Organic Proso Millet (Chena)Ā š¾ (washed & soaked for 30 mins)

Ā¼ cupĀ split moong dalĀ or toor dal (optional for protein)

1 smallĀ onion, finely chopped š§

1 smallĀ tomato, chopped š
-
1 cupĀ mixed vegetablesĀ (carrot š„, beans, peas, potato š„)

1ā2 green chilies š¶ļø (slit)

1 tspĀ ginger-garlic paste
-
1 tspĀ cumin seeds
-
Ā½ tspĀ turmeric powder
-
Salt to taste š§

2ā3 cupsĀ waterĀ š§

1 tbspĀ gheeĀ or oil š§
-
ChoppedĀ fresh corianderĀ for garnish šæ

Optional: pinch ofĀ asafoetida (hing)
šØš³Ā Instructions:

Prepare Ingredients:

Wash and soak millet & dal for about 30 minutes.

Chop all vegetables and keep ready.

SautƩ the Base:
-
Heat ghee/oil in a pressure cooker or pan.

Add cumin seeds, let them splutter.
-
Add onion, green chilies & sautƩ until golden.
-
Add ginger-garlic paste and stir for a minute.
-

Add Veggies & Spices:
-
Toss in chopped tomatoes, turmeric, salt, and veggies.

Cook for 2ā3 minutes until slightly soft.

Add Millet & Dal:
-
Drain and add soaked millet and dal to the cooker.

Mix everything well.

Cook:
-
Add 2.5ā3 cups of water (more for softer consistency).
-
Pressure cook for 2ā3 whistles (or simmer covered for 20ā25 mins in a pot).

Finish & Serve:

Once pressure releases, fluff gently.
-
Garnish with fresh coriander and a drizzle of ghee if desired.
